Managing Nutrient Recipes
Nutrient recipes let you save your mixing formulas so you can feed consistently and track what you're giving your plants over time.
- Tap Recipes in the sidebar
- Tap New Recipe
- Give it a name (e.g., "Veg Week 3" or "Bloom Full Strength")
- Add each product you use — select the brand and product, then enter the amount per gallon or per liter
- Set your target EC/PPM for the final mixed solution
- Assign a growth stage so you know when this recipe applies
When adding a product to your recipe, you can:
- Search our equipment database for commercial nutrient products
- Enter a custom product name if yours isn't listed
- Set the amount per gallon or per liter
- Note the mixing order if it matters (some nutrients shouldn't be mixed together in concentrate form)
When you log a feeding entry on your plant:
- Select your recipe from the dropdown
- The nutrients are automatically associated with that entry
- Over time, this builds a complete feeding history the AI can reference
When you ask the AI a question with a plant selected, it can see:
- Which nutrient products you're using
- Your target EC/PPM values
- Recent feeding history
- How your actual EC compares to your recipe targets
This means the AI can give advice like "your calcium product is dosed at half strength — bump it to full for this stage" instead of generic recommendations.
- Create separate recipes for each growth stage. Your plant's needs change significantly from seedling to flower.
- Update recipes as you dial in. If you adjust a dose, update the recipe so future feedings are consistent.
- Note the water source. If your tap water has a starting EC, note it in the recipe name or description so you account for it.
- pH after mixing. Your recipe stores nutrient amounts, but always pH your solution after mixing before feeding.
