Maps photosynthetic photon flux density across a canopy on a grid sized to the space, then reports the average, minimum, maximum, uniformity, coverage, and daily light integral.
Moderate intensity: good for vegetative growth.
This tool provides estimated PPFD values based on mathematical models including the inverse square law and Lambertian distribution. Results are approximations and may differ from actual measured values. For precise measurements, use a calibrated PAR meter.

Create Free Account →PPFD (Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density) measures the amount of photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) reaching a given area per second, measured in µmol/m²/s. A PPFD map shows how light is distributed across your grow space at canopy level.

The map runs the same Lambertian point-emitter model as the Light Calculator, evaluated at every grid point rather than averaged over a canopy.
PPFD is in micromoles per square meter per second (SI canonical: mol/m^2/s). PPF is in micromoles per second. DLI is in moles per square meter per day.

The heatmap is a rendering of these same grid values. Every number above is available as text so the result can be read without the canvas.
