Getting Started with Meridian

Welcome to Meridian — an AI-powered platform for tracking and optimizing your indoor grows. This guide walks you through everything you need to get growing.

Create your account

Sign up at growmeridian.com with your email. No credit card required — Meridian is free to use.

Set up a grow space

Your grow space represents your physical growing environment — a tent, a room, a closet, whatever you're working with.

1. Tap Spaces in the sidebar
2. Tap New Space
3. Enter your space dimensions (length, width, height)
4. Add your equipment — lights, fans, controllers, dehumidifiers
5. Set environment targets for temperature, humidity, and VPD

Your space is where environment data lives. If you connect sensors later, readings appear here automatically.

Add your first plant

1. Tap New Plant from the dashboard
2. Give it a name (anything you want — "Bruce Banner", "Kitchen Basil", whatever)
3. Pick a growth profile that best matches what you're growing
4. Choose your growing medium (soil, coco, hydro, etc.)
5. Set the start date and current growth stage
6. Assign it to a grow space

Log your first entry

This is where the magic starts. Regular logging is how Meridian learns about your grow and gives better AI recommendations.

1. From your plant page, tap Log Entry
2. Add your measurements — pH, PPM/EC, temperature, humidity
3. Attach a photo (optional but highly recommended)
4. Add any notes about what you did or what you noticed

Pro tip: You don't need to log every measurement every time. Even a quick photo with a note like "looking good, no changes" is valuable data.

Try the AI chat

Once you have a plant with some data, head to AI Chat in the sidebar. Ask it anything:

• "How does my VPD look?"
• "What should my EC be in week 3?"
• "My lower leaves are yellowing, what's going on?"

Select your plant from the dropdown to give the AI context about your specific setup.

Meridian includes 15 free calculators that work without even signing up. Find them under Tools in the sidebar:
